Minister Garavaglia: "There is a desire to start over. 1.5 billion euros ready for the sustainable development of the mountains

The Minister of Tourism, Massimo Garavaglia, was the protagonist of the event "The winter 2021/2022, the restart of the mountain. The reopening of the ski facilities, major sporting events, refreshments" which was held today at Skipass 2021 .

On the Fisi website we read that Minister Garavaglia, during the press conference, said: "We are finally returning to breathe an atmosphere of enthusiasm and desire to start over. It is a novelty that there has been a strong attention in the world of the mountains. It was necessary to change the attitude and we did it, in the budget law there is a fund dedicated to the mountains, it was finally understood that the mountains are fundamental for the entire country system. an important slice for the whole sector, a fund of 500 million which with the financial leverage effect becomes 1.5 billion and now there is a fund to support sustainable tourism development, necessary to find a system, for example, to limit costs deriving from energy costs. The budget law also provides for a fund for the development of small mountain towns, to prevent them from depopulating ". The meeting was also attended by the President of Fisi, Flavio Roda, and the President of Anef, Valeria Ghezzi. Valeria Ghezzi: "There is a lot of expectation, a lot of trust and I do not hide the fact that there is also a bit of anxiety. We have worked hard, we believe in it. We are aware that this winter the Italians will be our most important basin. Slowly we will return to normal, we will return to bring back the foreign customers who populate our Alps. We know that it will take some time, but c 'is trust ". Updates will follow
