The number 1 of the Fisi updated ski clubs and athletes on the new interpretation linked to sporting activity: in essence, we are back to what was established last December 3.

An open letter from Federal President Flavio Roda to clarify the situation for ski clubs, athletes and technicians during the Christmas period, with an opening based on a circular from the Ministry of the Interior that arrived on Tuesday evening.
We propose it in its entirety: "Unfortunately, as is well known, the current difficult situation generated by the pandemic emergency certainly determines difficulties of various kinds that afflict both the organization of our activities and the exercise of the institutional functions of the Federation, in a regulatory framework which is constantly updated and which often does not present sufficiently clear characteristics. It is therefore considered appropriate, with this communication, to specify some circumstances and to proceed with a further update.
First of all, it is important to clarify that the aforementioned federal note of 22 December u.s. (the content of which had been shared with the Federal Council), was not aimed at providing the interpretation given by the Federation to the provisions dictated by the Decree Law of 18 December 2020 on the exercise of competitive sports. In this circumstance, the Federation limited itself to reporting, for the benefit of the entire federal membership base, the indications that the Federation itself had borrowed from the communications of the competent institutions.
Moreover, only yesterday evening, 22 December, a new circular from the Ministry of the Interior was published which, by providing further interpretations regarding the legislative dictates of the Legislative Decree December 18, seems to revise in a broader sense the possibility of continuing in the exercise of competitive sports activities also in the period between December 24, 2020 and January 6, 2021, without prejudice in this case to compliance with the provisions deriving from DPCM 3 December 2020.
In particular, said ministerial circular, in the fourth paragraph of page 3, expressly establishes that: "In referring, therefore, to the information already provided in the previous illustrative and commentary circulars, reference is made to what is underlined regarding the fact that both the limitations to mobility envisaged for the territories in the orange area, and those established for the territories in the red area are not reflected in the exercise of activities not expressly subject to restrictions by virtue of specific provisions ".
As mentioned, this new, further interpretative circular now seems to clarify the interpretation of the subject in question in a partially different way from the previous indications and in any case in terms of greater favor for sporting-competitive activities in general. We therefore report this update, believing that this can contribute to an interpretation by all interested parties (athletes, sports clubs and technicians) that confirms the terms of exercise of the sporting-competitive activity in a sense substantially compliant with the federal note of 3 December 2020.
You will all understand that the Federation certainly does its utmost to perform a service that benefits all our athletes and all clubs, for the full resumption of sports-competitive activities in compliance with the law and, at the same time, for the necessary safeguarding of the health protection of each one. It is in this sense that every intervention, past and future, is and will always and will always be aimed at providing an aid to the difficult work of interpreting the current rules that each of us must elaborate, personally and as recipient of provisions that unfortunately introduce limitations to some of our fundamental rights.
Furthermore, as a Federation and as a set of skills and passions of the "mountain system", we all have to face the effects of regulatory provisions and positions that often seem to generate even heavier consequences for our "mountain system" ”, Sometimes for lack of understanding of our realities, other times perhaps for superficiality of analysis. However, it is precisely from these situations that I believe and hope that the unity and cohesion of our entire movement emerge, which has always known how to combine the characteristics of full and indisputable correctness with passion, commitment and sacrifice. responsibility".
