Although the winter season has never started due to the health emergency, some ski resorts do not give up and, if the government gives the green light, the ski lifts will open after Easter.

Pending indications from the Government regarding the possible opening of the lifts after April 6, the expiry date of the last Dpcm, some ski resorts have already decided that, if conditions permit, they will be ready to open the slopes also to skiers. amateur for the last days of the season, always respecting safety.
In Cervinia, an area where you can ski until early May, the snow situation is currently good. Therefore, if the situation were to improve and the Government were to authorize the practice of skiing, the possibility of opening the lifts after Easter will be considered.
In a recent interview with Ansa, the director of the Skirama Plan de Corones (Alto Adige), Andrea Del Frari said he did not give up and wanted to open the lifts even for just two weeks: "If the anti-contagion rules allow it and if amateur sport is allowed, we will open the ski lifts after Easter. Since the ski season, postponed from time to time, would have ended on April 18, we thought to give the possibility at least to the residents to go skiing. So if it is possible we will open from 6 to 18 April. And if the weather conditions and the feedback are positive, we can also think about moving forward. Of course we will not open all the slopes, but the main ones towards Riscone, San Vigilio and Valdaora and this regardless of whether tourists from other regions may arrive. It is more a sign of the resumption of a certain normality. In addition, we will give our employees the opportunity to earn something ”.
Also in South Tyrol, Val Senales also informed us that they are ready to open the lifts after Easter if the President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Arno Kompatscher, gives the ok.
A little more difficult speech for the Presena Glacier. Here too there is the will to open the plants until May 20 but, in addition to having the go-ahead from the Government, both Trentino and Lombardy must be in the yellow zone.
In Piedmont, on the other hand, the Prali ski area does not give up. Fausto Sanmartino, manager of the plants, explained: “If after Easter we have good snow conditions and the government gives the green light, we will try to open the plants. Unfortunately, we are approaching the end of the season, so we hope that there will still be some snow to eventually open to the public because at the moment there is not a lot of snow. For the training of the ski clubs, we are using the slopes with artificial snow ".
