Serbia, a new 10-seater gondola lift in the Kopaonik ski area

In 2014, the ski area had already entrusted Leitner with the construction of two chairlifts.

For the 2020/2021 winter season, the Serbian ski area of Kopaonik, on the border with Kosovo, will have a new 10-passenger gondola lift, signed by Leitner, which will guarantee for the first time a direct connection between the tourist resorts of Brzeće and Mali Karaman , on the Kopaonik massif. Until now, the connection from Brzeće to the ski area was via two 2-seater chairlifts (Bela reka 1 and 2), which however did not allow direct access to Mali Karaman. The GD10 Brzeće cable car will cover a journey of about 4 km for an altitude difference of 843 meters and will be able to carry 2400 people per hour. It will be equipped with 110 cabins, one of which will be built in a VIP version to offer an exclusive level of comfort. The plant, active all year round, will allow even easier access to the area, both in summer and in winter. In fact, in the summer season, the area offers activities for relaxation and sport thanks to a bike park. Consequently, in setting up the new gondola lift, attention was also paid to this type of user, by providing suitable measures for the transport of bicycles. In winter, the cable car will instead become the new core of the area and will allow an optimal distribution of visitors along the 55 kilometers of ski slopes.
