Within the Epiphany the front will move to Central Italy, also whitening the Apennines.

TUESDAY EVENING FIRST SNOW IN THE WESTERN ALPS.
The most advanced part of the disturbance will come into action on the western Alps on Tuesday evening, with light snowfalls starting from the Aosta Valley, upper Piedmont and Lombardy mountains. The snow level will initially still be relatively high, around 1500 / 1600m, pending the entry of cold air.
WEDNESDAY SNOW OVER MOST CENTRAL-NORTH.
In the night between Tuesday and Wednesday the snowfalls will intensify in the central-western Alps and during the day they will extend to the entire Alpine arc, also being intense in the central-eastern area, while they will diminish in the western one, where the bright spells will gradually take over. The snowfall limit will drop dramatically during the day due to the entry of arctic currents that will push the front, so much so that in the evening the flakes could also reach the valley floors of the eastern sectors.
HALF METER OF SNOW FORECAST IN THE CENTRAL-EASTERN ALPS.
During the week, accumulations of fresh snow could reach around half a meter over 1800m on Adamello Brenta, Cadore and western Carnia. In Cortina d''Ampezzo expected about 20cm, 30cm in Corvara in Badia, 15 / 00cm in Sella Nevea, where however the precipitations will begin in rainy form, and then turn into snow during the day, 50cm at Misurina.
SNOW POSSIBLE ALSO IN THE APENNINES.
On Wednesday the disturbance will also reach the central-northern Apennines with snow levels decreasing in the evening up to 500 / 800m. During the Epiphany, other intermittent snowfalls are expected on the Apennine ridge above 400 / 600m, even if it will be all in all weak phenomena. In the Alps the snowfalls will have stopped and the good weather will have returned, but with an icy climate due to the influx of Arctic currents following the front.
