Good news for the Alps and for all of us who love the winter season. As of Thursday we should see the return of the Atlantic disturbances and thus to abundant snowfall on the alpine reliefs, primarily those of the North-West, but in extension to the Eastern Alps and the Dolomites.

Between Thursday and Friday should pass an incisive disturbance responsible for widespread snowfall sull''arco downhill since the altitude 1000-1500m. But it will not be a straw fire, already in Weekends are new snowfall expected that could give rise to the first fortnight of February with significant accumulations.
On Wednesday it will be possible some sprinkling of snow locally by altitude 800-1300m, but it will be phenomena generally weak and very localized. It seems to be the most interesting phenomena that mathematical models give a glimpse of the next week, but it is still early to talk about it ...

El Niño si rafforza: sale al 75% la probabilità di un evento storico nell’inverno 2026/2027
Il nuovo aggiornamento della NOAA conferma un ulteriore rafforzamento di El Niño. Per il trimestre ottobre-dicembre sale dal 69 al 75% la probabilità che il fenomeno raggiunga un’intensità mai osservata nella serie storica iniziata nel 1950. Uno scenario che dobbiamo monitorare per capire gli scenari possibili per l’inverno 2026/2027.
