Radical change in sight for weather conditions in Italy. In the next few days fog and pollution will leave a fast disruption, accompanied by a sharp drop in temperatures, even above 8-10 ° C in the mountains.

There will be a bit of snow below 1500m and for a couple of days Alps and Apennines will enjoy temperatures in line with the seasonal averages. Unfortunately, it will only be an episode because already Tuesday the temperatures will return to a decisive pace with a powerful anti-cyclonic recovery, starting from the North.
Sunday snowfall initially elevated on the central-eastern Alps, falling as high as 1300-1500m at the end of the day when they will be attenuated. It should not snow, if not sporadically in the Western Alps.
The Apennine, with Romagna and Marche, may also be interested in snowfall, which can reach 1300-1600m during the night between Sunday and Monday.

El Niño si rafforza: sale al 75% la probabilità di un evento storico nell’inverno 2026/2027
Il nuovo aggiornamento della NOAA conferma un ulteriore rafforzamento di El Niño. Per il trimestre ottobre-dicembre sale dal 69 al 75% la probabilità che il fenomeno raggiunga un’intensità mai osservata nella serie storica iniziata nel 1950. Uno scenario che dobbiamo monitorare per capire gli scenari possibili per l’inverno 2026/2027.
