Tsunami of ice in Canada, the second event in a week

Because of the strong winds on the ground, a huge mass of ice has invaded homes and buildings of a small town in the south of Canada, sweeping everything before him.

The special "Tsunami" was caused by the strong Arctic wind, with gusts up to 100 km / h on Lake Dauphin, still partially frozen. Within 15 minutes you fear, the giant wave of ice had the strength to demolish entire homes. According to Manitoba's Emergency Measures Organization, 12 permanent houses have been completely crushed by ice walls in slow progress towards the hinterland. Residents have had time to get to safety, but felt powerless in the event, there was no way to stop the imposing mass of ice. In some houses the "tidal wave" has pierced windows and doors, pushing the furniture inside the structures from room to room. This area, already devastated by floods last 2011, he had to deal with yet another extreme phenomenon of nature. Such an event occurred one week before in Minnesota, even if the damage recorded in that case have been far lower.
