From January to March, the 4A's Cup dellAppennino:

The Cup is a circuit of the Apennines ski-touring races organized by a group of volunteers and some amateur sports associations for the purpose, with the intent to promote both the activity of the skyalp, and the mountains of Emiliano encourage the practice of ski mountaineering and bring newcomers to this discipline.

For this reason, the technical characteristics of each race are different and range from one night to the classic technique sprint in individual steps with mountaineering. Just to ensure broad audience the opportunity to participate, the circuit is also open to snowboarders. During each race will also be organized a series of events and information dedicated to equipment and mountain safety. The 2014 calendar consists of 6 races at different locations along the Tuscan - Emilian Apennines, in the Province of Parma which include the towns of Pratospilla, Schia and the Holy Lake, in the Province of Reggio Emilia and the towns of Ventasso Febbio, in the province of Modena and the location of the Plains of Mocogno.La program will be the first race trophy High Apennines and will take place in Piane di Mocogno January 18, 2014. It has been thought a night race, with uphill into the woods and then down along the ski slope. The race course designed by the organizers with an alternation of ups and downs with several changes of buoyancy, a drop of about 300 meters. Among the organizers of the Apennines Cup include: KINOMANA ASD Section SkiAlp of Parma, Reggio EVENTS of Reggio Emilia, the SCHOOL OF MOUNTAINEERING / SKI "Bismantova" ITALIAN ALPINE CLUB sections of Reggio, and Sassuolo Castelnuovo Monti, from BOLOGNA by SCI S CHOOL MOUNTAINEERING Enrico Mutti and CAI Parma.
