The new Falkensteiner hotel in the World Cup town Schladming will be a fascinating mixture of urban lifestyle and rustic mountain lodges creates an inimitable atmosphere.
The structure
The architect Sepp Hohensinn from Graz has chosen to build a shape of a "Y". Compact and excellent visibility in all directions are the prerogatives of the project. The surface area is 12,000 m², the equivalent of about two football fields, and the size of the rooms, around 130, ranging from 30m ² to 55m ². In response to the theme "Sport-Spa-Style" interior designer ArkanZeytinoglu was inspired by the alpine lifestyle, using materials such as wood and tissues typical of the place.
From the demolition of the Dachstein-Tauern-Halle, the "Soft Opening", will take place just before Christmas, are available only nine months. Despite this very limited period of time, the hotel will be accessible since February 2013, before the start of the World Championships of Ski.
