Ski Mountaineering
The entries for the'' Altitoy-Ternua, the famous ski mountaineering race that takes place in the French Pyrenees, opens December 2 and end on December 31 next. The race will take place in two days, and this year is scheduled for 8 and 9 February 2014.

The'' Open Altitoy is the most important international ski mountaineering race team that takes on both sides of the Pyrenees. Since the first edition it was decided to trace through some very challenging technical and scenic. They were the athletes themselves to be the spokesperson of the race and word of mouth has ensured that the event would grow more and more, to the point that the available places are selling immediately after the opening of registration. Another factor which has contributed to the incredible success of Altitoy is the fact of change paths each year. Cooperating organization of the French Pays Basque Toy and San Sebastian to demonstrate the fact that, beyond the borders, the mountain can bring our people closer.
This year's program includes two race paths for the two-day challenge. The first trace-route-A will take place on a vertical drop of 2500 meters on Saturday and 2,000 meters on Sunday, while the second track-paced B-will is 1300 meters in altitude for both stages.

Mottarone
Il Mottarone, alto 1.492 metri, sorge in una posizione privilegiata tra il Lago Maggiore e il Lago d’Orta. La sua vetta arrotondata è uno dei balconi panoramici più spettacolari del Piemonte: nelle giornate limpide lo sguardo abbraccia sette laghi, la Pianura Padana e gran parte dell’arco alpino, dal Monviso al Monte Rosa fino alle montagne svizzere. Questa cornice, più che le dimensioni del comprensorio, rappresenta il vero elemento distintivo della località.
