Where they made history in February, the Italian skicross team return to work: first Livigno, then Bormio

Back at the place where they made history—Livigno, where on 21 February Simone Deromedis and Federico Tomasoni achieved a legendary one-two finish in the men's Olympic event—the Italian skicross team have resumed their preparations for the coming week.

The World Cup team was called up by technical director Bartolomeo Pala, following two days in the “Little Tibet”, for Monday 24 August, with a training session scheduled in Bormio: alongside the Games' gold and silver medallists, Edoardo Zorzi, Dominik Zuech, Paolo Piccolo, Filippo Rossi, Jole Galli and Andrea Chesi will be involved, together with coaches Siegmar Klotz, Nicholas Griffani, Walter Compagnoni and Maicol Rastelli.

In the Austrian resort of Scharnitz, a training block is instead scheduled for the B team of the freestyle national squad, with the head of the European Cup sector, Damiano Miari Fulcis, selecting Valentin Auer, Mattia Mersa, Alex Putzer, Heidi Pescollderungg and Marta Silvestri.
