The big air in Switzerland, opening of the 2022/23 freestyle season, sees two stars such as the Norwegian Ruud and the French Ledeux. The only blue in the final, the 19 year old in constant growth after having touched the Olympic medal, still obtains his best result in the maximum circuit.

A spectacular first, on the night of Chur (Coira), in front of a truly overflowing public for the Freeski World Cup in the big air discipline, which began with Norwegian and French successes.
With a little blue in the men's final, given that Leonardo Donaggio, the great hope of the Italian movement for a truly rosy future, just think of what the very young Venetian combined at the Beijing Games, took home an 8th place with some regrets. With the potential shown in qualifying since the 2003 class, the first two tests of Leo in the final act were decisive in the negative (just 19.75 and 18.75 pt), before an excellent 82.00 which was worth in every case the best placement of Donaggio's young career in the maximum circuit.
Up there, several athletes played for the podium in a handful of points, behind an impregnable Birk Ruud: there was nothing to be done against the norge phenomenon, who made a void with the first two tests, frightening with 93.00 and 95.75 points, while the Canadian Noah Porter Maclennan finished second in a comeback (with 180.00 points against Ruud's 188.75), for a quarter of a point ahead of the American Troy Podmilsak, with the Swiss Andri Ragettli and the Austrian Hannes Rudigier mocked within a whisker of the top 3.
The other two Italians entered, René Monteleone and Moritz Happacher, stopped in qualifying.
Tess Ledeux is also the one who opens the women's big air season bringing home another victory: the transalpine champion clearly preceded the Norwegian Sandra Eie, 10.25 pt away (181.00 against 170.75 ), with the hostess Mathilde Gremaud third at 170.00.
Elisa Nakab, the only blue at the start, did not have access to the final finishing 13th in the morning qualifying.
Saturday evening in Chur (finals always scheduled from 20.00) the second and last appointment of the World Cup opening with the big air specialists for snowboard slopestyle.
