Val di Fiemme will be one of the beating hearts of the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Milan-Cortina indicates the ... wording, but many alpine resorts will be involved and Trentino will have a decidedly important role.
The Predazzo springboard will host jumping and Nordic combined, Tesero the cross-country skiing competitions and the nearby Baselga di Pinè speed skating in the renovated facility with 5 thousand seats.
"They will be great Olympics and they will certainly be the Women's Games, because we have so many champions able to compete in various disciplines", the words of the former Italian cross-country skier Antonella Confortola, closely followed by those of Alessandro Pittin, also present in Cavalese on the occasion of the post-verdict celebrations of Lausanne.
"I know what the emotion of the Olympics at home means - the words of the combinator, newcomer at just 16 in Turin 2006 - and for me that of the Games 2026 for now is only a small dream, missing so much time. What is certain, for Italy, is instead a fantastic certainty and the Val di Fiemme, with its very high-level structures, will look great â€.
