After Lombardy and Veneto, also the Alto Adige becomes part of the Milan-Cortina nomination to host the Winter Olympic Games in 2026.

To give the news was Arno Kompatscher, president of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, who on twitter said he had found an agreement with the mayor of Milan Sala and the governor of Veneto Zaia: "2026 Olympics, talks with Sala and Zaia : Milan and Cortina also support Anterselva, which is confirmed as the venue for the biathlon for the Games, the right prize for the great work of the local organizing committee and the many volunteers ".
On Wednesday, the Milan-Cortina nomination will present the project during the IOC assembly in Tokyo. In Japan, besides the president of CONI Giovanni Malagò, also Luca Zaia, Giuseppe Sala, Diana Bianchedi and Arianna Fontana will be present.
