Krakow is the fifth town to announce the decision to contribute to organize the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Although the application is formally the city of southern Poland, actually covers two different nations as it is expected that the alpine skiing events if for lack of facility'' in Jasna, Slovakia, about 180 km south of Krakow.
