A month and a half after the conclusion of Beijing 2022, the President of the Republic will welcome a large part of the national team that is protagonist at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Appointment from 12.00 and there will also be a recognition for Dominik Windisch.

The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, will meet today the Italian team that took away so much satisfaction at the recent Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing 2022.
The ceremony, scheduled at 12.00 at the Quirinale Palace (with live television coverage on Rai 2), will be attended by Italian medalists and athletes in China, as well as technicians and managers, led by the President of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, and by President of the Italian Paralympic Committee, Luca Pancalli. During the event, the Italian flag will be returned to the Head of State by the Italian standard bearers, Michela Moioli and Giacomo Bertagnolli.
Below is the list of Olympic medalists who announced their presence: Arianna Fontana, Martina Valcepina, Tommaso Dotti (Short Track), Davide Ghiotto, Francesca Lollobrigida (Speed Skating), Stefania Constantini (Curling), Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone , Nadia Delago (Alpine Skiing), Federico Pellegrino (Cross-country skiing), Michela Moioli, Omar Visintin (Snowboard), Dorothea Wierer (Biathlon) and Dominik Fischnaller (Sledding). These, on the other hand, are the Paralympic medalists expected at the Quirinale, namely Giacomo Bertagnolli (Alpine Skiing), Andrea Ravelli (Athlete guide of Bertagnolli), Renè De Silvestro (Alpine Skiing) and Giuseppe Romele (Nordic Skiing).
President Malagò also invited Dominik Windisch, who announced his retirement at the end of a career that saw him win three Olympic bronze medals - in Sochi 2014 with the mixed relay and in PyeongChang 2018 again with the mixed relay and in the sprint - in addition to the world title in the Mass Start and the bronze in the mixed relay won in Oestersund in 2019 and the silver world champion, also in the relay, won the following year in Anterselva.
