Tomorrow, Friday 11 February, the third Olympic title will be awarded in the men's field. Uncertainty about the forecast, with Bolshunov and Klaebo ready for another battle with the Finnish Niskanen lurking, but beware of the outsiders. After today's last tenth match between Johaug and Niskanen, Olympic cross-country skiing promises to be once again tomorrow. At 8.00 Italian time (15.00 local time) the men's 15 km TC will start, which will assign the third Olympic title to men for the Beijing 2022 Games.
The fight for gold will be very open: Iivo Niskanen will try to avenge today's silver of his sister Kerttu, perhaps triumphing in front of a norge after Sunday's skiathlon. Great attention always to the big names Klaebo and Bolshunov, who until now have been the gold medalists in these Chinese Games. The other components of the Russian and Norwegian teams should not be underestimated, with the norge Paal Golberg above all.
The first to leave will be the American Ben Ogden; uneven choice of numbers by the big names: the first important name will be the Swiss Dario Cologna, bib number 40, at the last Olympics, with the 42nd Johannes Klaebo will take to the track, while with the number 44 we will see the compatriot Paal Golberg. The first two Azzurri to start, Paolo Ventura and Giandomenico Salvadori, will start with the 22nd and 25th respectively. Italy's top man for tomorrow, Francesco De Fabiani, will start with the 56th, looking for a sensational medal, even if the competition will be of an excellent level.
