The Olympic biathlon calendar: off on February 5th with the mixed relay of the blue dreams, then the Individuals

Journey into the 11 races of Beijing 2022: Dorothea Wierer in search of the first individual medal from Monday 7, in the second weekend Sprint and Pursuit.

An Olympic calendar spread over two full weeks, for eleven appointments with the five-circle biathlon which, starting from February 5th, will be the protagonist at the Zhangjiakou facility. We start with that mixed relay which, both in Sochi 2014 and in PyeongChang 2018, saw the Azzurri win the bronze medal; considering what has been seen in the season, it will be one of the races with the greatest medal chances for the Italian national team, in the grand opening on Saturday 5th, with the start scheduled at 10 am Italian (5 pm local time). Dorothea Wierer's first attempt to finally grab a medal, beyond those in the relay race of the past two editions of the Games, will take place on Monday 7 February: that will be the day of the women's individual, starting at 10, while the male rehearsal of the same format will be staged on Tuesday 8, from 9.30. Two days of rest, then Friday 11th, again at 10 am Italian time, the women's Sprint followed 24 hours later (at the same time) by the men's one. Sunday 13 the big appointment with the Pursuits: at 10 the women, at 11.45 the men. On Tuesday 15 February the men's relay, scheduled for 10, then Wednesday 16 the women's one (with an early start at 8.45). The grand finale between Friday 18th, with the men's mass start, and Saturday 19th with the women's one: in both cases, the appointment is at 10 am.
