The champion of Paralympic skiing at world level, has been chosen to open the five-ring appointment scheduled in Beijing next March.

Double satisfaction at Fiamme Gialle for the news, made official today by the Italian Paralympic Committee, that the skier Giacomo Bertagnolli will be the standard-bearer of Italy in the opening ceremony of the XIII Paralympic Winter Games, which will be held in Beijing from 4 to 13 March 2022.
After the joy and pride of the entire Guardia di Finanza for the recent decision of CONI, which designated Sofia Goggia as standard-bearer at the next Winter Olympics on 22 October, another representative of the Fiamme Gialle will have the burden, and honor, to parade with the Tricolore under the eyes of the whole world.
A recognition, the one entrusted today to the 22-year-old from Trentino, which gives value to a boy whose career, although still young, has already been marked by great international results, on all two golds (slalom and giant slalom), silver ( supergiant) and bronze (downhill) won in alpine skiing, visually impaired category, at the last Paralympics of PyeongChang 2018, in addition to the 8 world medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze) and the 7 World Cups, of which 2 general and 5 specialty.
On the Korean snow, Giacomo was guided by fellow countryman Fabrizio Casal, with whom he shared the enormous joy for the historic laurels obtained; For two seasons, however, Bertagnolli has been skiing (always with an extraordinary performance on the track) together with the Lombard financier Andrea Ravelli, who will also be his guide in the next Chinese Paralympic adventure.
