After four days of hard battle, the two bearers of the Army Sports Centre Courmayeur Eydallin and Lenzi win the Pierra Menta. The Italians have gone before in the overall standings the French couple formed by Jacquemoud and Bon Mardion, winning in the first, third and fourth leg of the marathon ski mountaineering Arêches-Beaufort.

The Alpine Valsusino Matthew Eydallin and teammate Ossola Damiano Lenzi won the Pierra Menta 2014, the most classical races on the calendar along with the world of ski mountaineering Mezzalama Trophy. They are two great athletes and two friends as well as teammates. They have grown a lot in quest'' last year and their competitive path has brought great results: second place in 2013 and the triumph of last year to Mezzalama Trophy.
The final fraction of the Pierra Menta 2014 started this morning at 7.30. The athletes have faced nearly 10 thousand feet of elevation gain in four days of competition, and today we are confronted on a path suddenly plunged back into winter weather with colder temperatures compared to the past few days and partly shrouded in mist at high altitude.
The Alpine and Bon Jacquemoud Mardion have attempted everything to close the gap to 2 ', 10 "that separated them from the two Piedmont. Eydallin Lenzi and have them checked easily finishing in the head last fall. The recovery in the last minute of the French was not enough to overturn the classifications: very good partial result, in fact, Bon Mardion Jacquemoud and win the stage, but the victory in the Pierra Menta 2014 goes to Eydallin and Lenzi, with the final time of 9h36'54 ". Junior first place in the ranking for the Spaniard Oriol Coll Cardona and French Remi Bonnet, who have closed the second day of competition with a total time of 2h26'48 ".
