The calendar of the Ski mountaineering World Cup 2019

The Plenary Assembly of the ISMF, the international federation of mountaineering, was held in Zakopane (Pol), which was attended by 18 nations: Andorra, Austria, Canada, China, South Korea, France, Germany, Japan, Iran, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, United States, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

On the agenda, the voting in favor of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brazil and Denmark as new members of the ski mountaineering family, India and Nepal and India were instead welcomed as temporary members waiting to receive official recognition in the coming months. The total number of federations participating in the ISMF thus reaches 36. The new World Cup calendar was officially announced: starting at Bischofshofen (Aut) on January 18th and 20th January 2019 with individual sprints, then in Andorra on January 26th and 27th with individual and vertical, the third appointment at Super Devoluy ( Fra) February 2 to 3 with individual and sprint, from 20 to 22 February Chinese trip to Jilin, China, with individual, vertical and sprint, at the end of which we return to Europe with the tests of Disentis (Svi) of 23 and March 24, individual and sprint, finals in Madonna di Campiglio from 3 to 6 April with sprint 3, individual 5 and vertical 6. The World Championships will be held in Villars (Sui) from 9 to 16 March 2019 but it is not the program has been announced.
