It & egrave; Closed on Saturday afternoon the thirtieth edition of the classic Pierra Menta, ski mountaineering race in pairs which takes place every year in the French Alps of Savoy. Four stages in the program, starting with a stopwatch to the & lsquo; & rsquo prologue; of Wednesday & Igrave; and mass starts in the following days.

The women's race & egrave; lived on the duel between the Franco-Spanish formed by Laetitia Roux and Mireia Miro & rsquo; Varela, winners of the second and third stages, and the combination of Franco-Swedish Mollaret-Forsberg, winners of the prologue and the final stage. Only 8 & rsquo; 07 & rdquo; separating the two couples in the final standings, with Roux-Miro & rsquo; who win their third success in the test (2011-2013-2015) after 11h43 & rsquo; race on the four days. On the podium the Swiss S & eacute; verine Pont-Combe Jennifer Fietcher, unplug the 38 & rsquo; 21 & rdquo ;; fourth place for the blue Martina Valmassoi and Katia Tomatis.
In the men's race, the World Champions Matteo Eydallin and Damiano Lenzi have confirmed the status of favorites repeating the success of last year. The torque of the Army Sports Centre, winner of the first three stages, had no problems in containing the recovery attempt in & rsquo; last leg of the race regional Xavier Gachet and William Bon Mardion, seconds to 3 & rsquo; 15 & rdquo ;. Third place for Michele Boscacci and Robert Antonioli. Withdrawn during the third leg of the Spanish Kilian Jornet and Marc Rubirola.
As for the Junior category (race held on 2 stages), victories for the blue-Compagnoni De Silvestro and for the French Samuel Equy-Swann Juillaguet; between Cadette will impose French Fanny Meynet Cordonnier- Marie Pollet-Villard in front of the blue-Felicetti Ploner (withdrawal before the second stage for the favorites Giulia Murada and Justine Tonso). In Cadets, victory for the Swiss Julien An & ccedil; ay-Arno Lietha; third-Cunaccia Italians Daniele.
