Ski mountaineering, in Caspoggio two other blue podiums in CdM: Eydallin and Boscacci beaten only by Gachet

Second and third place in the Individual Race for the Aosta Valley and Valtellina. De Silvestro still fourth in the women's test, ahead of Veronese and Martini.

The Frenchman Xavier Gachet also imposed himself in the men's Individual Race which opened the Italian stage of the Ski Mountaineering World Cup, today on the snows of Caspoggio. The transalpine champion just preceded two Azzurri, Matteo Eydallin and Michele Boscacci, replicating in photocopy the podium of Morgins last weekend; the Aosta Valley rider reached the finish line 34 "behind the winner, while the Valtellinese finished at 41". Good fifth place for Alex Oberacher, followed by Robert Antonioli sixth, Nadir Maguet seventh, Davide Magrini ninth, with Nicolò Canclini tenth and Federico Nicolini twelfth, Matteo Sostizzo nineteenth, Giovanni Rossi 20th, Sebastien Guichardaz 24th and William Boffelli 30th. In the women's field another victory for Axelle Gachet Mollaret, who regulated the competition of the Swedish Tove Alexandersson and compatriot Emily Harrop. Fourth place - for the third consecutive time in the specialty - for Alba De Silvestro, just over 3 minutes from the podium. Fifth Ilaria Veronese, sixth Mara Martini, eighth Giulia Murada, twelfth Giulia Compagnoni, fifteenth Elena Nicolini, eighteenth Elisa Moreschini and twentieth Katia Mascheroni for an important test of the Italian team. Blue double instead in the under 20 female category, with Manuela Pedrana and Silvia Berra in front of the Spanish Maria Costa Diez. Among the men here is the third place for Rocco Baldini, behind Trym Dalset Lodoen and the Spaniard Marc Radua Ivern.
