Davide Magnini won the “Marmotta Trophy”, thanks to an amazing performance in the men's Individual of the stage also valid for the Ski Mountaineering World Cup, on the snows of Val Martello.
The Trentino rider set the clock on a time of 1h38''57 ”6, beating the competition of the Swiss Remi Bonnet and the transalpine Xavier Gachet. A lot of Italy in the top ten with Michele Boscacci fourth, Nadir Maguet seventh, Robert Antonioli eighth and Alex Oberbacher ninth. Excellent third place for Alba De Silvestro in the women's individual, with the Belluno woman who surrendered only to the French Axelle Gachet Mollaret, first in 1h32''50 ”1, and to the Swedish Tove Alexandersson.
Giulia Murada finished fifth, in front of Mara Martini eighth with the other blue in addition to fifteenth place. In the U23 female category, Italian triumph with the all-tricolor podium thanks to the victory of Lisa Moreschini followed by Samantha Bertolina and Katia Mascherona. Among the men on the lowest step of the podium Sebastien Guichardaz, behind the two Austrians Paul Verbnjak, first, and Andreas Mayer. Manuela Pedrana has secured the victory in the U20 women's individual. The young Valtellinese climbed to first place with a time of 1h13''24 ”6, leaving behind the Swiss duo made up of Thibe Deseyne and Caroline Ulrich.
Noemi Junod finished in fifth position, followed by Silvia Berra in sixth place and Erika Sanelli in seventh. In the men's field, Rocco Baldini was excellent third, about 3 minutes from the top step of the podium occupied by the Swiss Thomas Bussard, who finished in 1h27''21 "5. Second place for the French Anselme Damevin. At home Italy good performances also for Luca Tomasoni and Marco Salvadori, respectively fourth and seventh in the order of arrival.
