It is planned next weekend at the national meeting of young Cervinia ski mountaineering FIS

It starts in the morning of Saturday, November 30th with the first specific training of technical progress in the ascent and descent. The 80 boys belonging to the categories juniors and cadets, will be divided into 10 groups followed by a ski instructor and mountain guide. The program continues in the afternoon when there is a lesson of theory and practice on safety: avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, even with the use of the'' field Pieps transceivers supplied by Alpine Training Center.
For the young mountaineers skiing is crucial to learn about the risks and dangers of the mountain. Ski mountaineering is not only skill and speed, but also the analysis and study of the land in which you are moving.
On the second day of the rally, Sunday, December 1, is on the agenda a test-race: the boys will face a test of 3 climbs, with a sudden you have to walk uphill in the second.

Mottarone
Il Mottarone, alto 1.492 metri, sorge in una posizione privilegiata tra il Lago Maggiore e il Lago d’Orta. La sua vetta arrotondata è uno dei balconi panoramici più spettacolari del Piemonte: nelle giornate limpide lo sguardo abbraccia sette laghi, la Pianura Padana e gran parte dell’arco alpino, dal Monviso al Monte Rosa fino alle montagne svizzere. Questa cornice, più che le dimensioni del comprensorio, rappresenta il vero elemento distintivo della località.
