Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna – Alpe Cimbra

The ski area offers a total of 104 km of pistes, divided between the two ski circuits of Folgaria-Fiorentini and Lavarone. The two areas are covered by the same ski pass, but are not connected ski-in/ski-out, and travelling from one to the other requires using the road. The pistes run roughly between 1,174 and 1,824 metres: elevations that are not particularly high, offset by a very extensive artificial snowmaking network.

The Folgaria-Fiorentini ski area is the larger of the two and links the sectors of Costa, Francolini, Fondo Grande, Fondo Piccolo, Passo Coe, Fiorentini and Serrada. The pistes run mainly through the woods, with wide, well-groomed blue and red runs that are particularly popular with families, ski schools and intermediate skiers. The connections make it possible to follow long itineraries without constantly repeating the same descents.

Among the main new developments is the ten-seater Francolini-Sommo Alto gondola, which entered service in January 2026. The modern lift covers 2.8 km in around eight minutes and has brought the Francolini piste back into operation: a 3.2-km red run through the woods that descends directly to the bottom station. The gondola represents a major improvement in access to the ski area and is also used during the summer season.

More advanced skiers will find technical pistes mainly at Fondo Grande and Serrada. The Agonistica and the famous Salizzona are steep and demanding runs, also used for training and competitions, while Martinella offers a long descent towards Serrada. Overall, the main lifts are efficient and include high-capacity chairlifts, although some less recent chairlifts and surface lifts remain in the secondary sectors.

Ski Center Lavarone offers around 30 km of pistes spread across Bertoldi, Tablat, Ust and Malga Laghetto. It is a more compact and easy-to-navigate ski area, particularly suitable for families and beginners, with numerous blue and red runs through the woods. Experienced skiers are also catered for: the long, technical black Avez del Prinzep is one of the most interesting pistes in the entire Alpe Cimbra.

With 66 pistes in total, Alpe Cimbra is aimed primarily at families, beginners and intermediate skiers, but also offers several good-quality black runs. Beginner areas, baby parks, themed trails and freestyle areas make the resort particularly suitable for children. The Alpe Cimbra 4 All project has also improved accessibility, with trained staff, specialised instructors, rental shops equipped with monoski and dualski equipment, and services designed for skiers with disabilities.

The offer for cross-country skiing is also significant, centred on the Alpe di Coe, Millegrobbe-Vezzena and Forte Cherle-Fiorentini centres. The trails, groomed for both classic and skating techniques, pass through woods, pastures and First World War sites and can form a very extensive network when snow conditions allow the connections to open. Snowshoeing, sledging, fat biking, skating and winter walks complete the snow-based activities.

In summer, Alpe Cimbra offers an extensive network of trails for trekking, mountain biking and e-biking, two bike parks, the FolgaRide Flow Trail Center and the Folgaria Golf Club. The lifts in Folgaria and Lavarone facilitate access to the high-altitude routes, while Lake Lavarone makes it possible to alternate mountain activities with water sports. The routes of the Emperor’s Fortresses, between Forte Belvedere-Gschwent, Forte Cherle, Forte Sommo Alto and Forte Dosso delle Somme, are particularly noteworthy, combining landscape and historical memory.
