A historical challenge, which recounts the exploits and challenges of generations of ski mountaineers: fathers, sons and grandsons who for 65 years competing on the same mountain.

This edition of the race of Carona in the upper Valle Brembana, retained the traditional route through the valley of pristine'' Calvi Refuge, plowing ridges that surround it and touching the heights of Mount Reseda 2383m, 2504m of Mount Madonnino and Mount Cabianca 2605m. There is no doubt that this trophy has made the history of ski mountaineering.
What is so special and romantic of this edition is the meeting place of all the participants the night before departure at the Rifugio Calvi, to relive a little 'spirit and style of'' go to the mountains as it once was. The organizers are already working on the path that provides the first climb to reach the Passo Grabiasca metridi share in 2463, then the second will be the roughness Monte Reseda, while the long climb to Mount Madonnino'' with the last part should be addressed to feet will be the turning point of the competition. Madonnino After the peak of the athletes will descend to Lake Curious to climb to Monte Cabianca, the Cima Coppi of Parra at 2601 meters. At this point will be two short climbs: the first 250 meters of altitude, and the second, to the'' arrival, 70 meters in altitude. The total elevation climb of the race considering the sun is 1900 meters and the length of the entire path exceeds 17 kilometers.
The date of the competition is scheduled for April 27, 2014, but the organizers have opened registration right now. Argentera
Argentera si trova nell’alta Valle Stura, a pochi chilometri dal Colle della Maddalena e dal confine francese, in uno degli ambienti più appartati e selvaggi delle Alpi Marittime. Il comprensorio si sviluppa sopra la frazione di Bersezio, tra circa 1.630 e 2.500 metri di quota, in un paesaggio di lariceti e pendii d’alta montagna dominato dall’Oserot e dalla Rocca dei Tre Vescovi.
