Livigno inaugurates the foundational season

Saturday, October 13th, the first 3.5 km of the track will open, on which Federico Pellegrino and the rest of the Italian national team will train.

The winter season always starts from the province of Sondrio, and Livigno will give the opportunity to show off their skis well in advance, given the opening of the cross-country ring from 13 October. This is thanks to the special technique of snowfarming, which allows the conservation of snow during the summer (stored 220,000 cubic meters of snow - considerable numbers that exceed even those of last year). The goal of the Association for Tourism of Livigno is to open the first 3.5 km of track in such a way as to guarantee freedom for cross-country skiers on Saturday and Sunday, and to define the hours of the morning - starting from Monday 15 October - with a slope open from 8 am to 10.30 am for professional athletes, from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm to 2nd level teams and from 12.30 pm to the public. Starting from 20 October, the Italian National Cross-Country Skiing will be present in the Livigno area with the following athletes: Federico Pellegrino, Francesco De Fabiani, Maicol Rastelli, Mirco Bertolina, Elisa Brocard, Ilaria Debertolis, Lucia Scardoni, Greta Laurent, Dietmar Noeckler, Giandomenico Salvadori, Stefan Zelger, Caterina Ganz, Anna Comarella, Sara Pellegrini and coaches Marco Selle and Paolo Riva along with all the technical staff composed of ski men, physiotherapists and doctors of the blue team. Many champions will train in the locality of Alta Valtellina, and the Finnish founder Iivo Niskanen, brother of the other founding Kerttu founder, recently graduated in the 50 km of Pyeongchang 2018.

Argentera

Argentera
