The heat over the seasonal averages, along with the scarcity of snowfall in winter that did not guarantee enough snow, forced the Sifas spa, which runs the plants on the Stelvio glacier, to make a drastic decision.

In fact, the plants will be closed from Sunday to date. This is confirmed by Umberto Capitani, owner of the facilities and also some hotels including the Livrio, where usually World Cup athletes are staying there. It is hoped that these days the temperatures and snow conditions will improve.
The other alpine glaciers are also in the same conditions, unfortunately. There is only to be hoped that this hot summer will go as soon as possible: already last winter it was a miracle to put up some important races, from this step you go towards the end of skiing, agonistic and for enthusiasts.

Argentera
Argentera si trova nell’alta Valle Stura, a pochi chilometri dal Colle della Maddalena e dal confine francese, in uno degli ambienti più appartati e selvaggi delle Alpi Marittime. Il comprensorio si sviluppa sopra la frazione di Bersezio, tra circa 1.630 e 2.500 metri di quota, in un paesaggio di lariceti e pendii d’alta montagna dominato dall’Oserot e dalla Rocca dei Tre Vescovi.
