Confirmed the stage of the World Cup in the shadow of the Gran Becca; Jean Edouard Hardy tells us about the wonderful (and new) track that will see Moioli and his companions great protagonists.

Green light for world snowboard cross in Breuil-Cervinia. The FIS carried out the traditional snow check and confirmed the World Cup appointment on the Valle d'Aosta snow, which for the fourth time are preparing to host the best athletes in the world in a weekend that promises to be spectacular.
Saturday 18 December (the day before there will be the qualifications) will compete on a "track 26" which has changed its design in this last period. A necessary choice to ensure adequate space also for the numerous ski and snowboard enthusiasts who in this period have chosen the slopes of the Valle d'Aosta area for the first outings of the season. After a year without skis, Breuil-Cervinia is experiencing a boom in bookings. Winter has started in the best way: on the slopes the turnout is high, on weekends as well as during the week.
After a confrontation with the men of the International Federation, the organizers of Cervinia World Cup have decided to make some changes. Different route and slightly shorter than the original, but unchanged spectacularity for a test that will be run in heats of four competitors, the same formula that will then be adopted also at the Beijing Olympic Games. The Italy of snowboard cross, who often trains in Breuil-Cervinia, has started the World Cup in the best possible way. In China, at Secret Garden, the Olympic champion Michela Moioli climbed to the third step of the podium, Omar Visintin finished second in the men's race.
This weekend the circuit will make a stop in Austria, in Montafon, then the transfer to Valle d'Aosta, at the foot of the Gran Becca. Jean Edouard Hardy, national snowboard instructor and member of We Snowboard Cervinia, tells us about the new track: “The track will have a development of 600 meters, with 100 meters in altitude. It will be a race classified as a sprint, not exceeding 50 seconds, with peaks of speed that will touch 70 kilometers per hour. We are working to set up a very technical and longer than usual initial section.
There are 5 parabolics or "banks", a "Dragon back" section that presents a succession of humps, which will be followed immediately after a jump. The final part will be designed with two other structures that will make it possible to maintain high technicality, then another "step-down" jump and a double that will cross the finish line, in the presence of the wonderful Matterhorn ".
Despite the poor visibility and abundant snow, the works are continuing in the best possible way, thanks to a team of professionals made up of cat riders and pisteurs from the Cervino Spa and the shapers of the Cervino snow park, who have just returned from their experience in China for the construction of the Olympic track.
