Everything is ready on Pra di Tori: Thursday in Carezza the second PGS of the season, the most favorite Azzurri

Snowboard World Cup: Fischnaller and companions to repeat themselves after the triumph in Cortina, Nadya Ochner also wants to try it in the women's race. Finals from 13.00 (with live TV).

A year ago the very high temperatures of that period even forced the interruption in progress of the race, with subsequent cancellation, but for the decade of the World Cup stage as regards parallel snowboarding, there is no doubt that Carezza can offer a great show. Five days after the triumphal opening in Cortina, the Italian snow still hosts a PGS that sees the Azzurri, especially at the male level, the first favorites of the prediction; appointment already fixed at 9.00 on Thursday for the qualifications on the “Pra di Tori” track, then from 13.00 the finals live on Rai Sport and Eurosport Player. The sun does not peep into the gray sky of Carezza, but the weather forecast gives hope for optimal conditions for tomorrow's race; what shines is the desire to compete in the national team of Cesare Pisoni, ready to continue on the road traced in Cortina. For Italy, which started the season in the best way by placing five athletes in the first six positions of the PGS last Saturday, will be on the track Roland Fischnaller and Aaron March, who signed the double on the "Tondi di Faloria", Mirko Felicetti , Edwin Coratti, Danele Bagozza, Fabian Lantschner, Marc Hofer and Gabriel Messner in the men's test, while Nadya Ochner, Giulia Gaspari, Lucia Dalmasso and Jasmin Coratti will try us in the appointment dedicated to girls. After yesterday's training, today the Azzurri dedicated themselves to athletic training. “I know the track very well - says Fischnaller - We need to see the snow conditions, but I imagine they are very good. I hope to be able to do a good performance like in Cortina; I have already given the name to two cabins of the cable car here in Carezza and I absolutely want the third one. This year no athlete has yet gone down on this track; there are situations to which we must adapt, but we athletes are good at this. I think the organizers have done a good job and I believe that as the Italian national team we will give our best. Unfortunately the fans will not be able to be here to support us, but I hope that many will watch us from home ”. An interesting race is also expected for Aaron March: “In Cortina I started the new season very well. I am very happy with this excellent performance. Certainly no one will give me something, I can't wait to compete ”. Even among the Italians, curiosity and the desire to tackle the track are great. “Yesterday we trained in Monte San Pietro. We had a track all to ourselves and it was nice because everyone was able to focus on themselves - says Nadya Ochner, who won her only CdM race on Pra di Tori in 2018 - Today many of us had a day off in which to prepare to be ready. The memory of two years ago is logically still there, but this is another season and it all starts from scratch. The sensations as regards the track and the race are good: I can't wait, because we trained well and it will certainly be an exceptional race. We didn't try the slope, but we can trust the organizers and Georg Eisath, who know the snow and the slope well. They definitely did their best and I think it will be a fantastic race ”.
