Roland Fischnaller and Nadya Ochner ready to lead the Azzurri on the "Pra di Tori": "It will be a milestone", explains the president of the organizing committee, Andreas Obkircher.

For the tenth time, in the week before Christmas, the international snowboard caravan will pitch its tents at the foot of the Catinaccio. Carezza is ready to host the World Cup again, with the parallel giant on the “Pra di Tori” confirmed for Thursday 17 December.
One month after the appointment, here is the president of the organizing committee, Andreas Obkircher: “This tenth edition is certainly a milestone for all the people involved and in particular for the team behind the event. Since the first edition in 2011 we have continued to grow and every year we have tried to improve.
Of all the participants, the local athletes like Roland Fischnaller or Nadya Ochner, both winners on Pra di Tori, were particularly impressed in my memory. I also remember the victories of Ester Ledecka very well, because they had had an "enormous media coverage".
If on the one hand certain procedures have yet to be clarified in detail due to the provisions related to the pandemic, on the other hand the tender program has already been established, widely tested in Carezza. Monday will be dedicated to arrivals, while in the following two days the international snowboard elite will train on the Paolina slope. Thursday morning will be the turn of the qualifications, between 9 and 11; two hours later, at 1 pm, the finals will begin with the KO System formula, in which the 16 athletes and the same number of fastest athletes will take part.
Good news also comes from the weather front: given that temperatures will drop significantly in the next few days, snow cannons can be used throughout the Carezza ski area. Therefore, all the slopes, including Pra di Tori, will be covered with artificial snow - not only for the World Cup races on Thursday 17 December - but also for the hopefully imminent start of the winter sports season " .
