In Muntagna. So, with simplicity and respect, the Sicilians call Etna, the great volcano, since 2013 UNESCO World Heritage Site. At its feet, a territory rich in history and agriculture with great variety in production and the now vast expanses of vineyards.

A territory to be known and discovered that the Wine Route of Etna today interprets and represents in all its peculiarities and curiosity with the 107 companies including wineries, farms, accommodation facilities and restaurants, wine bars and museums.
A journey through the wonders that lead from the sea to the slopes of Mount Etna and in the presence of the great volcano. In such a circumscribed area, like the mountain, there are a considerable quantity of products awarded with acknowledgments. There are 6 between D.O.C. and D.O.P. ie wine, cherry, pistachio, prickly pear, oil and recently also the puff pastry. Other products such as lemon and apples from Etna are on the path towards Certification.
A unique and special way to immerse yourself in so much beauty, history and taste is to experience the day on board the Etna Wine Train with the Circumetnea Railway which runs on Saturday. A journey that follows the rhythm of the mountain, starting from the Piedimonte Etneo station up to Randazzo. Here, accompanied by the guide in Italian and English, the tour continues on board the Wine bus to reach some of the most beautiful wineries in the area. The itinerary includes a visit to two wine cellars with tasting of wines and local products and a visit to a village, a museum or another producer.
A journey that allows you to see the wonder of this land, to savor its products and taste its unique wines, but also to know the ancient history through the engaging story of expert and prepared guides.

Dolomiti UNESCO, il bilancio di Banca d'Italia: +9% di pernottamenti senza consumare più territorio
Il paper di Banca d'Italia analizza gli effetti sui flussi turistici e sull'ambiente nei 4 anni successivi all'iscrizione delle Dolomiti nella lista dei Patrimoni Mondiali dell'Umanità, avvenuta nel 2009. A fronte di un incremento delle presenze, il numero di strutture turistiche non è cresciuto e quello di posti letto si è ridotto. Ai maggiori flussi turistici non si è associato né un aumento del consumo di suolo né una maggiore produzione di rifiuti, dimostrando il potenziale del riconoscimento UNESCO nel generare benefici economici locali senza compromettere la qualità ambientale, a condizione che siano in atto un efficace coordinamento istituzionale e solide garanzie normative.
