The "50 Sustainability & Climate Leaders" initiative, hosted by Bloomberg and the United Nations, is a campaign that, through documentary films, aims to promote and disseminate details on the leading organizations and pioneers in their respective sectors that are facing challenges worldwide sustainable for the future of our planet. One of the 50 companies selected worldwide is BWT, a leader in clean water technologies.

BWT has always been committed to supporting the poorest countries in the world, sharing its know-how with them so that they can create solid infrastructures and a community run by local people.
The Aqua Pearls Foundation represents BWT’s commitment to ensure access to safe water in the Gambia and South African regions.
Water in this region is not available locally and it is women and children who have to collect it from a spring or a river that is often hours away.
No one would have to travel long distances to have access to an essential commodity such as water. For this reason, BWT plans to invest $ 70 million over the next 10 years, installing 10,000 wells in South African regions.
The hope is to be able to activate projects like this everywhere to ensure that sooner or later everyone has safe and drinkable water available.
