There are many variations compared to last season, with the start in Kontiolahti, the classic final of Oslo-Holmenkollen passing first through Oestersund, while Anterselva will again be the last pre-event appointment, from 19 to 22 January 2023.

The International Federation of Biathlon (IBU) has already formalized the calendar of the 2022/23 World Cup season, with ten stages including the World Championships in Oberhof and which provides for a total of twenty-five men's individual races and the same number of women (the Individuals rise to 4, 5 mass start, 8 sprints and 8 pursuits, in addition to 6 male relays and the same number for girls, as well as 3 mixed and 2 mixed singles).
It will start from Kontiolahti on 29 November 2022, then passing through the classics of Hochfilzen and Annecy-Le Grand Bornand before the Christmas break and the restart in January with Pokljuka, instead of Oberhof which will have the world championships from 10 to 19 February , which will anticipate Ruhpolding and Anterselva, with the Italian stage scheduled from 19 to 22 January 2023 with sprints, pursuits and relay races as per tradition.
After the world championship event in the German location, the last three events with Nove Mesto and the return to the north, from Oestersund to the usual grand finale of Oslo-Holmenkollen, from 16 to 19 March 2023.
