Biathlon: Hofer and Wierer lead the blue patrol for the final stage in Oestersund

There are eight biathletes (between men and women) summoned by the technical director of the national team Fabrizio Curtaz for the final act, on Swedish soil, of the 2020/2021 World Cup.

Time for choices in Italy for the last stage of the 2020/2021 Biathlon World Cup. From Friday 19 March to Sunday 21 March, the last seasonal races will be staged in Oestersund. The FISI, through its official channels, has communicated the list of the eight athletes ordered by the DT Fabrizio Curtaz in view of the Swedish stage. For the men's sector, the five athletes who competed in Nove Mesto were confirmed. So, in these last races will take part: Lukas Hofer (splendid 3rd in the sprint of Nove Mesto), Dominik Windisch, Thomas Bormolini, Didier Bionaz and Tommaso Giacomel. There will be only three blue girls at the start. Dorothea Wierer will try to replicate the good performances offered in the Czech Republic, Lisa Vittozzi will try to end the season with an acute, while Michela Carrara will be hunting for a result in the thirty. Sprints are scheduled for Friday (12.30 women, 15.30 men), Saturday will be the turn of the pursuits (12.15 women, 15.15 men) and Sunday the season will end with mass starts (13.00 women, 15.30 men).
