Another chapter in the history of blue biathlon. Linda Zingerle wrote it today, already a great protagonist in the past weeks at the YOG with gold in the mixed relay.
Well, the 17 year old daughter of art was able to take the gold medal in the sprint of the junior and youth world championships taking place in Lenzerheide: she is the fourth Italian ever to succeed in the youth category, after Irene Lardschneider, Lisa Vittozzi and Dorothea Wierer. A masterpiece by Linda, who preceded by more than 20 seconds the Russian Liubov Kalinina, who found the zero at the shooting range unlike the South Tyrolean who made a mistake on her feet, and the French Oceane Michelon, the only one slightly faster on skis but braked by two errors.
And Italy did very well as a team, placing Hannah Auchentaller in 7th place, Rebecca Passler in 13th and Martina Trabucchi in 18th. Sunday the chase, to look for a sensational double brace.
