Five Ukrainian biathletes among the 35 guests of a hotel in Val Ridanna affected by intestinal virus

Everything happened during the weekend of the Immaculate Conception: 19 of them were assisted in the hospitals of Vipiteno and Bressanone, the presence of the athletes in the Ibu Cup competitions at the start on Thursday is still in doubt.

There are also five Ukrainian biathletes, expected from Thursday at the start of the Ibu Cup competition program in Val Ridanna, among the 35 guests of a well-known hotel in the Alto Adige area, struck by an intestinal virus on the weekend of the Immaculate. The evening of 7 December, in fact, was decidedly lively and at first it was feared for a food poisoning that had forced 19 people to resort to the care of the hospitals of Vipiteno and Bressanone; it was instead, as the intervening doctors specified, a form of intestinal virus transmitted by contact, with dozens of cases of dysentery after dinner. Among them, there were also Sergey Semenov, Ruslan Brigadir, Vitaliy Trush, Ekaterina Bekh and Andrey Dotsenko, athletes of the Ukrainian national team who should still make it to participate in the Ibu Cup tests, starting with supersprints at male and female level. The Val Ridanna races, among others, will be broadcast live for the first time on the Eurovision website (www.eurovisionsports.tv/ibu).
