Compared to the athletes protagonists at the Olympic Games, only Michela Carrara will be missing for the Finnish stage which will start on Thursday and includes sprints and pursuits over the weekend.

After a weekend break after Beijing, the Biathlon World Cup starts again, launched towards the last three seasonal stages, very special given that there will be no Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian athletes competing for the well-known reasons.
Nine have been called up by the technical director Fabrizio Curtaz as regards Italy which will face the appointment at the start tomorrow in Kontiolahti with ambitions; in the Finnish town the women's relay will be played on Thursday (start at 2.30 pm) and on Friday the men's relay (at 2.30 pm), while on Saturday 5 March it will be the sprint (women at 12.45 and men at 15.30) and Sunday 6 at the two pursuit races (women from 12.45 and male from 14.40).
The blue team will present itself in the men's field with Lukas Hofer, Didier Bionaz, Thomas Bormolini, Dominik Windisch and Tommaso Giacomel, among the women Dorothea Wierer will be joined by Lisa Vittozzi, Samuela Comola and Federica Sanfilippo.
