A test of maturity and quality, with the 19/20 on the shooting range and a lot of solidity even on skis, for the blue who gave himself the best result in the World Cup, after having done very well even in the fraction of a relay then eighth at the finish. "I have finally managed to demonstrate my qualities - he declared on arrival, as reported by the FISI press office - I have worked a lot so far and this placement gives me great confidence, I reacted well after the sprint on Thursday".
And to think that the expectations were almost all for Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi, who are not able to hit the top ten, with the exception of the relay that finished sixth yesterday, despite showing a fair condition in the part dedicated to the fund. It remains to adjust the aim, with the South Tyrolean who yesterday paid duty at the standing shooting range while the targets on the ground in individual competitions were fatal once again in Sappadina. At Hochfilzen they will already try to change gears: "I'm sorry for the relay - explained Wierer on Sunday in the post relay, with his fraction proving to be negative with the 4 errors committed at the second polygon - I was reminded of the last polygon of the last year and while I was shooting I was getting more and more nervous.
In terms of condition, I feel I am getting better and better on skis and it's not all to be thrown away. I hope that in Hochfilzen there are higher temperatures and that from now on it can level up in every respect. The rifle problem in the first two races was also a factor, but now I'm only aiming for good races ”.
