How many changes in biathlon Germany for 2017-18!

The German Ski Federation has formalized the composition of its national teams in view of the season 2017-18. In the biathlon, it has escaped from a splendid winter, but not for this reason it has been decided to fully confirm the structure of the movement. In fact, the changes are wasted.

Long-time enthusiasts will already know how to use a double criterion in Germany. Athletes - in addition to being divided by working groups - receive a status (reported in parentheses) that indicates a further internal hierarchy within the group. By simplifying the system, it can be stated that: * Generally being included in the 1A working group and enjoying status A at the same time means having the place secured in the World Cup at the beginning of the next season. * Having status B and inserting into the 1A workgroup means enjoying more consideration than who has status B and inserted in group 1B. * Finally, junior, except for exceptional cases, is assigned status C to indicate their age range. This is the composition of the German biathlon teams for 2017 - '' 18: HONZ Vanessa (1992) (B) HERRMANN Denise (1988) (B) HORCHLER Nadine (1989) (A) HILDEBRAND FRANZISKA (1987) (A) HINZ Vanessa (1992) (B) HERMMANH Denise (1986) (B) PREUß Franziska (1994) Feminine group 1A is expanded from 6 to 7 units. Several adjustments are noted. Denise Herrmann and Nadine Horchler were added, promoted by Group 1B and "Observed" respectively, while Miriam Gössner was excluded (albeit sweetly). There are also a couple of changes in status. Vanessa Hinz is elevated to rank A, while Franziska Preuß slips to B.  WORK GROUP 1A MASK (A) DOLL Benedikt (1990) (A) LESSER Erik (1988) (A) PEIFFER Arnd (1987) (A) SCHEMPP Simon (1988) (B) KÜHN Johanes (1991) (1993) (B) ZOBEL David (1996) In the male field, group 1A remains at 7 units, but is renewed for three weeks. The changes concern athletes with status B, since we do not find either Matthias Bischl or Florian Graf, as well as Daniel Böhm, retiring. In their place, they decided to give confidence to Johannes Kühn, Roman Rees and David Zobel.  WORK GROUP 1B FEMALE (B) DEIGENTESCH Marion (1995) (B) GÖSSNER Miriam (1990) (B) HENDEL Helene-Therese (1995) (B) MAIER Christin (1996) (B) WEIDEL Anna (1996) Feminine has been completely revolutionized, growing from 4 to 5 units. None of the athletes present last year, however, has been confirmed. In the case of Nadine Horchler because he was raised to Group 1A. On the contrary Karolin Horchler, Annika Knoll and Luise Kummer will have to prepare themselves. The presence of Gössner appears pro-forma, given its interesting state. WORKING GROUP 1B MASKLE (B) DORFER Matthias (1993) (B) HOMBERG Niklas (1994) (B) HORN Philipp (1994) (B) NAWRATH Philipp (1993) (B) REITER Dominic (1995) (B) SCHMUCK Dominic (1996) (B) STRELOW Justus (1996) (B) WEICH Lars-Erik (1996) Widely modified also male 1B group, which ranges from 5 to 8 components. The only confirmed ones are Matthias Dorfer, Philipp Horn and Dominic Reiter. There are no other reasons for Johannes Kühn (promoted) and Steffen Bartscher (cut). At this level were added Niklas Homberg, Philipp Nawrath, Dominic Schmuck, Justus Strelow and Lars-Erik Weich. Finally a word about the many observed, which will also include names of a certain weight. In fact, they will have to prepare athletes of their own caliber such as Karolin Horchler, Luise Kummer, Annika Knoll, Florian Graf and Matthias Bischl. MASCHILE GROUP 1A LEADER LEADER: KIRCHNER Mark MASCHILE GROUP 1A STAINLESS STEEL: STIZL Andreas MASCHILE GROUP 1B LEADER: SENDEL Peter FEMALE GROUP 1A FEMALE COURSEER: HÖNIG Gerald FEMALE GROUP 1A TRAINER: REITER Tobias FEMALE GROUP 1B FEMALE: KRUG Remo The technical staff remains unchanged.
