The conditional is still obligatory, but according to the first rumors, the locality of South Tyrol, the temple of the local biathlon, could host the arrival of a stage of the next Giro d'Italia with departure from Val di Sole.

Val di Sole has a deep connection with the cycling world. For years it has been a fixed stop for the UCI MTB World Cup and in 2021 it will host the Mountain Bike World Championships.
For Anterselva instead it would be an unprecedented, but very suggestive. According to the preliminary program, the Val di Sole - Anterselva should be the 17th stage of the Tour of Italy 2019 and should be staged on Wednesday 29 May, in the middle of the third and decisive week of the race.
If the rumor were to be confirmed, Anterselva would become for a year the capital of Italian sport, since in February 2020 it will host the highly anticipated world biathlon, which will be the main highlight of the 2019-20 winter season.
A few days ago the organizing committee has unveiled the program of the world championship, which will take place from 12 to 23 February 2020:
