According to the rules in each test 30 athletes will be at the start: the first 25 of the overall World Cup standings plus the best five of the current stage.
In the women's competition there will be three Italians. In addition, of course, to Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi, thanks to the good results obtained in the Sprint (18th) and in the Pursuit (15th), Nicole Gontier will also be in the race.
In the men's field instead will be Lukas Hofer, 11th in the general classification, and Dominik Windisch, qualified by virtue of the results obtained in the two competitions disputed in the current stage.
Johannes Bø has prevailed in the two Mass Start disputed so far. Last week in Ruhpolding (Ger) the Norwegian preceded Julian Eberhard and Quentin Fillon Maillet. The latter was also on the podium at Nove Mesto (Cze), where he finished 2nd in front of Evgeniy Garanichev.
Among women, however, the first online start of Nove Mesto was won by Kuzmina in front of Paulina Fialkova and Chevalier. In Ruhpolding the victory went to Franziska Preuss who defeated Tandrevold and Fialkova P.
