At 2.15 pm the start of the second women's 15 km of the season. The seventh stage of the World Cup opens, Anterselva without public but polished to give a weekend of exciting races.

Dorothea Wierer returns to her home snow after the triumph of last year's world championships, she returns to confirm the growth in condition and results seen in Oberhof and to defend the red bib as leader of the specialty classification, conquered with the splendid victory of Kontiolahti in open in season. With her there will be Lisa Vittozzi, Federica Sanfilippo and the returning Michela Carrara and Nicole Gontier. For the latter, it is a test, albeit in a competition format that is not exactly congenial to them, in view of the relay race on Saturday and the Pokljuka world championships which are now upon us.

Norwegians and Germans have decided to start in the first group, so the race will be very lively from the first polygons. The Swedes, in particular the Oeberg sisters, will instead be in the second starting group together with Alimbekava and Hauser, who have returned from three podiums in the double stage of Oberhof. In the race for the crystal ball, Tirill Eckhoff's run-up to Mars Roeiseland continues, who will go after the first career success in the format.
