The calendar of the 2021/22 bobsleigh and skeleton season is taking shape, leading to the XXIV Olympic Games scheduled in Beijing from 4 to 20 February. Great expectations to see the brand new Yanqing Sliding Center track, with the Olympic running-in initially scheduled for last March but postponed due to a pandemic, and relocated to next October with three weeks (from 5 to 27 of the month) of tests with a view five circles.
World Cup season that will start in mid-November (19-21), with locations yet to be defined, while the stages that will follow will be in succession Igls, Koenigssee, Winterberg, with this last stage that will be repeated at the beginning of January. The two races on the Rhineland track will be interspersed with the Altenberg competitions, home to the last world championship, and the Baltic stage in Sigulda at the turn of the new year. Season closing scheduled for January 14-16 on the Sankt Moritz track, which will also be the scene of the continental review and will be the deadline for the Olympic qualifications.
The absence from the calendar, for the second consecutive year, of the North American stages stands out.
