In the world championship race in Altenberg, the American also confirmed herself in the 3rd and 4th heat, finishing ahead of Kalicki and Nolte. And thus becomes the most successful woman in the history of the female bob at the World Championships.

As could be expected after the first day of competition, Kaillie Humphries won the first laurel at this world championship event. Two other fast and flawless descents on the Altenberg track allowed the American to confirm the advantage gained after two heats and confirm herself as a specialist on the Saxon track. With today's achievement in the two-man bobsleigh, the fourth of her career, the Calgary native becomes the most successful woman in the history of women's bobsleigh at the world championships, surpassing the Teutonic Sandra Kiriasis with whom she shared the record to date.
The hosts have to be satisfied with the other two steps of the podium, and for both young Germans it is the first world champion, Kim Kalicki, the only one to remain close enough to Humphries in the overall calculation of the four runs and the only one able to beat her even if only for one heat, while the third place is Laura Nolte. The latter had reopened the fight for the bronze with a third run seasoned by several mistakes that had made her compatriot Schneider hope, at the end fourth, in the comeback from the podium.
The others are more distant: fifth the two-time world champion Elana Meyers-Taylor, sixth the Olympic champion Mariama Jamanka, seventh the winner of the World Cup, Katrin Beierl, and an excellent eighth the Romanian Grecu.
