At the age of 58, one of the first two pilots in the history of the Caribbean nation disappeared. It was not part of it, but launched the protagonist crew at the Calgary Games '88 and which inspired the film "Cool Runnings".

Sam Clayton Jr was in fact a true pioneer of the bobsleigh in a nation that, at the level of winter disciplines, caused a sensation at the Calgary Olympic Games' '88: although not competing in that quartet that inspired the film "Cool Runnings" ( released in 1993, known in Italy as "Cool Runnings - Four subzero"), he was the inspiration for it as recalled in the past few hours by Christian Stokes, president of the Jamaican federation. “Sam was the one who broke the mold, one of the first two drivers in our history together with Dudley Stokes. We will miss him very much ”.
Sam Clayton Jr then became an excellent music producer for his Jamaica, working internationally and dividing his home country and France.
