Mao Asada was set by a wide margin in the women's race of the fifteenth edition of the Four Continents Championships, hosted by the "Municipal Central Gymnasium in Osaka"

The Japanese champion, after leading the short program, presented a free enormous difficulty dusting off the combination with two triple jumps, long time in the attic, and proposing the triple axel, well-executed Twenty hours before.

The podium was monopolized by Japanese athletes,'' as was the case in the edition of 2003 in Beijing, won by Suguri front of Arakawa and Nakanko.
'' The place of honor went to long-time veteran Akiko Suzuki, capable in'' occaasione adjustments to the personal record in the sum of the two programs. In the third position, it is placed Kanako Murakami, for the first time in his career over the threshold of 180 points.
At the foot of the podium were placed a convincing Christina Gao, best among the Americans, and the sixteen year old Chinese Zijun Li, author of a free free of burrs which enabled it to gain the beauty of five positions.
Performance subdued expectations for North American Gracie Gold and Kaetlyn Osmond, penalized by several steps to empty on the best elements of each jump, flip and lutz respectively. Eventually, the vice-campionesa junior world has had to settle for sixth place, while the defending champion Canadian finished in seventh place.
