Just three days from beginning, the Rostelecom Cup lost a participant as Alexander Majorov not take & agrave; part in the men's race.

The reasons for the resignation of the twenty-four Swedish official in the early afternoon today, are not yet known.
After defected much of last season because of a long series of injuries, Majorov between late October and early November was in the Finlandia Trophy, the Coupe de Nice and the Volvo Cup Riga proving still far from the condition of the best days.
At this point, the men's competition will see the Rostelecom Cup & agrave; the starting eleven skaters, cos & Igrave; as happened in Troph & egrave; and Eric Bompard because of waiver of Florent Amodio.
